About Brett Solomano
My Life as an Edgefinder
I’ve reversed a semi-truck for 55 miles at 14 mpm, swam through underwater caves with only one breath in my lungs, and been set on fire for film and lived to tell the tale.
But my greatest stunts aren’t physical.
They’re mental.
Because overcoming fear isn’t just for stunt performers—it’s the doorway to becoming who you were meant to be.

I was always chasing a feeling...
Adventure. Aliveness. Edges.
Whether it was training in the Australian Army Reserves, learning to drift cars sideways, or jumping from high places, I was chasing the moment where my mind got quiet and presence took over.
I built a career as a professional stuntman, pushing my body and mind in every direction. But while I was testing the limits physically, something deeper was unfolding:
I was becoming obsessed with the psychology of fear, focus, and flow.
Behind the scenes, I wasn’t just breaking barriers on screen—I was breaking them internally too.
Through military training, near-death situations, and grueling productions, I started asking myself
What makes one person freeze & another step forward?
What makes someone resilient in the face of fear?
And why are so many of us stuck in lives that don’t challenge us anymore?

I believe fear isn’t the enemy—it’s the initiation.
Whether you’re holding back in your career, relationships, health, or sense of purpose…
The same principles apply.
We don’t bulldoze through fear.
We befriend it. Reprogram it. Move with it.
Hear Brett's Story
In 2013, a sabbatical to Bali changed everything. While volunteering at a local school, Brett discovered a passion for working with youth—especially when it came to teaching life skills like emotional intelligence, mindfulness, self-awareness, and how to learn. He lived for the “aha” moments, both in himself and the students.
That spark led him to a camp outside Sydney, where he worked with disadvantaged youth from juvenile justice programs, and later to an after-school program in Melbourne. There, he taught life skills through gymnastics, parkour, rock climbing, and other physical challenges to kids aged 3 to 15.
It was this blend of movement, mindfulness, and mindset—combined with his experience as a stuntman—that eventually inspired him to develop his signature method:
Active Mindfulness: Meditation for People Who Can’t.

Beyond his stunt work, Brett has stepped into leadership and teaching roles across industries. He’s been a:
CDL instructor and training program developer at Katlaw Truck Driving School
Drift instructor
Workshop facilitator for Hub Melbourne and Laneway Learning
Expert witness for court cases involving vehicle dynamics
And consistently, a mentor in every team he’s been part of
Teaching, for Brett, isn’t a job—it’s a throughline. A way to help others access clarity, confidence, and power in motion.
